A few months ago, there was no doubt. Natural gas, given its competitive price, its capacity to produce 24/7 and its reduced pollution emissions (compared to those of other fossil fuels), was the ideal resource to accompany the renewables during the energy transition, at least until energy storage takes off.

But recent events related to the France’s commitment to develop new reactors or the constant rise of gas prices open up the possibility of discussion.
